Abstract

The goal of EASYCOMP is to develop basic techniques for easy and automated composition of prefabricated software components. These techniques should enable end-users to assemble components into new programs or active documents (in the spirit of OpenDoc). Composition machines will check the consistency of the component interfaces and appropriately adapt the components to make them fit together. The group at the University of Kaiserslautern is mainly concerned with interface specification and adaption techniques.
